UVI Wellness Center

This sports related facility is an adjunct to UVI’s Sport and Fitness Center, which hosts the Annual Paradise Jam Basketball Tournament and is visited by athletes from all over the world.  The Wellness Center for sports training has received awards as the best training facility on St. Thomas. 

The building includes fitness, exercise, dance, and locker rooms.  Construction was completed in 2010 with poured in place concrete walls, slabs, a concrete cantilevered patio roof as well as a structural steel roofing package for future addition of the second floor.  GEC’s value engineering reduced the initial design costs by 32%.
